Well, let me tell you that WordCamp is the biggest gathering of WordPress enthusiasts, and it’s 100% community-organized and volunteer-driven. These events are organized, paid for, and attended by the local WordPress communities in accordance with guidelines published at https://central.WordCamp.org and the principles of the WordPress Foundation.
In 2006, the first WordCamp was held in San Francisco, California. Since then, several WordCamps have been held in various cities worldwide.
WordPress users attend WordCamps, and those interested to use the WordPress platforms. Everyone is invited: bloggers, developers, designers, SEO specialists, marketers, businesses, non-profits, photographers, digital marketing specialists, and anyone interested to learn more about WordPress.
What is WordCamp Cebu?
WordCamp Cebu was first held in Cebu on March 2, 2019, at Bayfront Hotel Cebu. Around 300 WordPress users attended the event.
The second WordCamp Cebu would have been on February 29, 2020, but it was ultimately canceled due to the pandemic. All those who got a ticket for this event should be able to get a free ticket to the next event.
So, finally, in 2023, we’re hosting the newest WordCamp Cebu 2023. It will be on February 11, 2023, at Mandarin Plaza Hotel in Cebu City.
