What is WordCamp Cebu?

WordCamp Cebu is a volunteer-run conference about all things WordPress, the free and open-source software, powering more than 30% of the internet.

Who attends the WordCamp?

At WordCamp Cebu, meet and learn from fellow web developers, bloggers, designers, entrepreneurs, educators as well as students from all over Cebu and across the country. Attendees range from the novice who is brand new to WordPress, to the savvy WordPress power user, to advanced designers and developers who make their living with WordPress.

When and where is the WordCamp?

WordCamp Cebu 2023 is happening on February 11, 2023, at Mandarin Plaza Hotel, Cebu City. Learn more about the location here.


How do I get tickets?

You’ll need a Paypal account or credit card to purchase tickets. You can check our post about virtual cards you can use to purchase your ticket. You can purchase tickets here.

What will the ticket include?

Your PHP800 ticket includes a full day of excellent WordPress talks, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, an official event t-shirt, and WordPress swag.

Will the tickets be refundable?

Because of the uncertainty of travel circumstances due to COVID-19 and WordCamp Cebu 2023 will be cancelled, we will be allowing refunds of purchased tickets of WordCamp Cebu 2023.

If you claimed your ticket using the coupon from WordCamp Cebu 2020, the tickets are not refundable. The ticket is still valid to transfer. You can message us at Facebook to process the transfer of the ticket.

Can I get a receipt?

Yes. When you registered, you would have been sent a Paypal receipt. If this is not enough, send us a message at cebu@wordcamp.org and we can send you a ticket purchase receipt via email. Please note that all funds are coursed through the global WordCamp Community Support, so this is not the typical Official Receipt in the Philippines.

Do I need to print my ticket?

Please don’t! When you get to the venue, present the email on your phone along with a valid ID and we’ll give you your event badge.

Will you accept walk-ins?

If there are still available tickets, yes we will.

Tickets have sold out, what do I do?

Watch out for the videos at WordCamp.TV, join the meetups, and make sure you follow us on Facebook so that you won’t miss out next year!


What should I bring?

  1. Valid ID. Registration starts at 7:00 AM. No need to print your tickets, but be sure to bring a valid ID.
  2. Your own laptop. If you are attending the workshop for beginners or plan to take notes using your laptop, be sure to bring your own fully-powered laptop.

Will there be parking area?

The hotel’s parking area can cater to up to 200 vehicles, so we suggest to come early to secure your spot if you will be bringing a car with you.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Wear something that you feel most comfortable in. As a sign of respect, please do not wear caps and hats inside the rooms.

What should I do at the WordCamp?

  1. For security and as a general rule, always wear your WordCamp badge when inside the event venue.
  2. Be mindful of our WordCamp Code of Conduct. All attendees are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct to ensure a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all.
  3. Have fun!  WordCamp is a celebration of the WordPress community. So make sure to mingle and interact with your fellow attendees. And be sure to say hi to the volunteers and organizers!

After the WordCamp

Where can I find the speakers’ slides?

We will send links to the slides once all the speakers have sent them. Please note that it is the discretion of the speaker if he/she will want to provide the slides. We have no control over their decision.

Where can I find the videos?

The video of the sessions will eventually also be uploaded to WordCamp.tv.

Health Measures

Should I be vaccinated for COVID-19?

Per the latest announcement from the WordPress Community Team, attendees (including organisers, sponsors, and volunteers) of official WordPress events are no longer required to be vaccinated or tested negative. However, one of those actions is highly recommended.

Should I wear a mask?

Face masks are not mandatory but are highly recommended. If you see someone wearing a sticker requesting people wear a mask near them, please wear it before you approach them or keep your distance.
