WordCamps are volunteer-run conferences centered around WordPress, the free and open-source software, powering more than 30% of the internet and more than 75 million websites around the world.
The first ever WordCamp was held in 2006 and for the first time, Cebu will be hosting its own conference on March 2, 2019, at the Bayfront Hotel Cebu, Cebu City.
WordCamp Cebu 2019, as well as all other WordCamps, is volunteer-run. Organizers and speakers don’t get paid. Ticket sales help pay for the cost of the event but the bulk of the funding is provided by our generous sponsors.
WordCamps are attended by designers, developers, business owners, bloggers, copywriters, consultants, hobbyists, employees who use WordPress as part of their job, and anyone else who uses WordPress in any way. Attendees range from the novice who is brand new to WordPress, to the savvy WordPress power user, to advanced designers and developers who make their living with WordPress.
